Khary - im cool with a 12 hour drive... i just drop for 26 to get from Adelaide to brisbane, spent a week and drove back again all on my own (im a big boy now!!!) Im used to the big drives... im cool with it and i would love to see the USA outback. If the grand canyon is on the way.. COOLIES!!! never seen it other than from a plane at 37,000 feet.

Urgon - cool.. still have to take a lok at what im doing. If the 15th is good for you, and Khary's estimate includes the 15th then ill aim for that. Either way i'll let you both know.

Just let me know.. If the 15th doesn't work so well, I'll do my best to get out when you are there. :)

Whoa, what's this, where am I? A VT message board?

Yo, Phisto, good to hear from you. Glad to see you on myspace. It'll be good to see you in person again.

To all my other VT friends, it's been awhile. Sorry about that. Good times going on here.

Big love.

i think te 15th is going to be the final date for the VT Vegas raid as Khary has sought prices for a car inclusive of that date.

I do appologise but ill get some solid dates for you close to my departure so that you can let work / loved ones know.

Fisto, et al..

Let me know when the finalised itinerary is complete and I will PM one of my email addresses to you...

I am outta country on 27 May till 6 June, then again in mid June to go back to Brissie... If timing is right I can fly via Vegas and have a day or two with everyone...

I will be back before the end of the month, so you are more than welcome in Maryland which is 4-5hrs southwest of NYC... If not I can scoot up there over a weekend, when your around..

Cheers
Sooth

P.S. Damn it I forgot the reason for my post... Congrats Kitty....

Fisto, I'm going to need exact dates as soon as you can so that I can make the appropriate arrangements on my end. As it is right now, it looks like you'll be arriving right around the time I close on my new house, so that should be an interesting juggling act.

Khary - still working on it. (it shouldnt be hard as its only one flight i got to find) but it appears im not allowed to book flights within the US online from Australia. And if i go through a travel agent i pay a fortune (way more than online).

What dates would it suit you for me to be there?

Well, I don't want to affect your costs any, but it depends on your travel afterwards. Will you be continuing on your travels from Las Vegas, or will you be driving back to Denver with me after the Vegas bash, and then flying wherever from there?

Either way, I'm not going to be able to do much on the 8th of June (closing date), and my time on the 11th will probably be a little limited (take possession of the new house). That will give me the 12th through the 17th to travel and party. Our best travel dates will likely be as follows:

June 13: Leave Denver towards Grand Canyon area (about 12 hours).
June 14: See Grand Canyon, head to Las Vegas (about 4 hours).
June 15: Party in Vegas.
June 16: Drive from Vegas to Denver (about 11 hours).
June 17: Recuperate.

There probably won't be a 4th bash at my house after all, since Khary and family can't come and Chad and I have to work at least part of the day...

So, whenever you get here, we can do whatever, but I need to know soon so I can get time off. I haven't had a vacation in several years, so they owe me. If you still want to wait till the 4th that's fine, but we can go to Tennessee and buy explosives any old time and blow stuff up even if it isn't a holiday (although the cops tend to look the other way on the 4th, can't say they will on other days) but either way there's lots of beer and bbq waiting.

Maybe we can make it a bit earlier than July 1st and Darith and his beautiful wife can come up and spend an evening or two. :)

OK,

Khary - what say i get a flight into Denver on the 10th? I dont need to do anything on the 11th. I could just watch some of your American Tv which i look forward too very much (dam.. sounding like Borat now). Or you can point me in the direction of the city and i can go for a walk around the city for a day, or i can give you a hand with whatever you need (like babysit while you and the wife take possession of the house).

The 15th in Vegas is cool by me as it was a date nominated by Urgon and i think Sooth said he was shooting for that time anyways.

Kitty - once i get back to Denver, i might fly back to Vegas for a few more days before heading up to Alaska if thats ok?

Lilae - Can be in Huntsville on the 1st of July if that makes it easier. I fly into NY on the 30th of June, can spend a night then fly down the next morning. Hows that?

Flying in on the 10th sounds just fine to me, man. The 9th would work, too, if you had that option open. I know you want to avoid touristy stuff, but if you get here on the 9th, that would give us a full day on the 10th to head up to Mount Evans here... the views are spectacular.

And as for your continued travels, I think it would be ridiculous for you to ride back with me to Denver and then to fly back to Vegas right after. I would be fine driving back to Denver solo if you want to stay and visit some more in Vegas - wouldn't bother me a bit, and might make more sense for you.
