Anyhow, it seems that our membership is small and sporadic at best. I think that the people who are anchored in WoW will remain there, so I don't think we're going to see much growth of the kinship, and the different schedules we all keep has made it difficult for us to group up even when there was more than 1 of us on at a time.
Basically, this is a long-winded way of saying that while I am enjoying the game once again, I am not so much enjoying constantly soloing. I've met up with Dagwyn (who Darith will remember) - a champion I used to duo with a lot before my hiatus. He wants to get me into his kinship, and I plan to join it... it's active (which is really the primary and only necessary selling point).
I'm not suggesting that we disband the VT kinship, and I'll keep my alts in it on the remote chance we actually rebound. But I didn't want anyone to be surprised when they saw Wyllraen sporting a different tag.
EDIT: I talked with Darith today and I believe he plans to join Dagwyn's kinship (Council of Galad) along with me. I have asked Dagwyn if his kin would consider absorbing the VTers, and he believes they would. I should specify that no one is required to join the Council of Galad if they are not interested in doing so, and that we will not be dissolving the VT kinship.
However, I honestly don't think it's feasible for us to fully participate in the endgame when we have 5 or 6 players who are on sporadically and rarely have the opportunity to group together. In a larger and more active kinship, we will have resources unavailable to us in our small group... people to group with, GM crafters, etc.
