it's fine.

I just can't see what you guys see in DAoC anymore I guess.

I guess not being a PvP person, I actually enjoy content in games. I loved doing ML's (when the lag wasn't horrible.) I loved doing TG.

So I can get a brand new toon PL'd to 50 and ML'd to 10 in a week you say?? um.. that doesn't appeal to me at all. To me, most of the pleasure in DAoC or WoW was in the journey.

I'm still journeying in WoW.

Stopped liking Daoc after being part of a gank guild with some people in KW.

That was like a freaking job.

That is because none of them have RL jobs.

Some of 'em are in school, but some have jobs, one is even a manager at a financial institution. But...the big but...is what other things do they have going on in their lives? There's only so much time in the day, and if you spend 8 hours at work, and another 5 hours a night, every night, doing gank-guild stuff, where does that leave

a) learning new things to become an interesting human being
b) relationships
c) family

And so on

Ya know?

I just fill groups when I log in, never been a part of any real gank group...don't think I've even logged in for 2 and a half weeks. I can press my keyboard buttons as well as the rest of 'em, but if I turn 30 without having travelled around the globe, having a great relationship with a cute chick, and having a solid career, all because I sat around and played a game after work too much, I'll slit my throat.
