whats the chance of the BBQ being with the nekid boobies and free drinks?
I have spoken to Killa and although i know he wants to come down he is working.
At this stage it looks like ill land in Denver between 9 and 11 June so whenever Khary says we can come down is fine with me. Although i do want to see Denver as last time i was there i only saw the Airport before going to Steamboat.

Well, since you're arriving sometime between Saturday and Monday, I can take the week off. We can hit some of the sights in Denver for a couple of days and then head down to Vegas on Wednesday or Thursday. Where are you heading after Denver/Vegas? Do you need to come back to Denver for a flight, or do you plan to head elsewhere?
Also, Urgon... we'd better see you in Vegas, too, dude. Let's get this shit sorted.

Chad and I live in Decatur, AL which is very close to Hunstville. North-central Alabama. Hunstville has an airport about 30 min from my house so that won't be a problem if you're flying in. Darith lives in Birmingham (right?) and I am really hoping he can squeeze a visit in while you're here. B'ham is about 2 hours drive or less.
I'll PM you my cell phone #, but if you don't have it or lose it Khary has mine and Chad's # as well.
We have a spare bedroom that you are welcome to of course, and if Sooth made it down that would rock too! I'm sure you two won't mind sharing a bed...

and if one snores, we have a gigantic sectional couch that is fairly comfortable.
Like I said, not much to do here, but there are some cool little bars. Khary, the old Brick burned down, and the new one will be opening this month I think. It's supposed to be a lot bigger and they're going to have a ton of beers on tap.
Also we have a space center. Woo. They build rockets here.
It's not Vegas, but hey, if you're wanting to experience the diversity of this country, sounds like you're on the right track. <3

GRATZ INDEED!!!!!!!
Khary - how long is the drive from Denver to Vegas? If we hiring a car would it not be cheaper to fly? I dont mind either way. From vegas i can drive back with you but at this stage i was heading to Alaska to see killa and a mate of his called Will.
Urgon - come on man.... use the line and say this ... "he is really having a hard time seperated from his wife and kids, and i know if you and i were to seperate i would be deviastated so i think i should really help him out" /puppy dog eyes on. If that doesnt work ... just say "GET BACK IN THE KITCHEN AND ILL TELL YOU WHAT IM DOING WOMAN!" (I would go option 1 first).
Lilae - Cool. Thats good enough for me.
Sooth - Where is Washington DC? near NY isnt it? (anyone can answer that one).
Khary/Urgon/Kitty - Ill sit down and make a decision as to what i am doing. At this stage i was planning on staying in LA for a couple of days to get over jet lag and see Universal Studios again... but im just that excited to see you guys i think i might just skip it or maybe stay there a day or two. Ill come up with some dates and let you guys know.
All - what im after while on this trip is basically to see all you guys. I dont care if there is nothing to do. If we can sit down, have a beer and a chat... hell..thats good enough for me. If there is something to see koolies!!! im in! I want to see the America that you guys deal with... not the over the top touristy thing i did last time i was there. If you can get time off work without loosing money then cool... if not.. work comes before me cause work pays for the families and they come first!

Phisto, it's about an 11 hour drive if we take the standard route through Utah. It would probably be longer if we took any side-trips (like to Four Corners, or the Grand Canyon, if you haven't seen it - and seriously, if you haven't seen the Grand Canyon, you really should go there).
If we timed it right, we could knock it out in a single day, but if you're not into spending 12+ hours in a car at a time, we could split it up into 2 days and get into Vegas in the afternoon.
As for the flying, it's up to you. While it totally defeats your goal of seeing the real America via roadtrip, it puts you in a car for 12+ hours rather than a plane for 2. You might want to have more time to spend in Vegas. It's not going to be a big expense to get a compact car. I just did some quick checks and I can get a car from the 11th until the 17th (Monday to Sunday) for around $300 including taxes. That's a bit more expensive than setting up a round-trip flight from Denver to Vegas, but it's your call.
Do the drive!

Dude,
Do the drive! That is some beautifull country out there. Colorado is an amazing state, as is Utah. (google earth 'Grand Canyon' too!)
I'll come out and see you in Las Vegas. I've got business interests out there, so its a tax write off, but due to other obligations .. I'll just be out for the one night. It looks like I can fly out on Friday the 15th of June. (Drive or fly is about the same for me ) It's only an hour flight. I'll grab myself a room in town, and fly back Saturday.
Definitely looking forward to hanging with everyone!
