P.s. Excalibur just got done remodeling one of their towers....Urgons suggestions are pretty right on imo....Some of the big hotels on the strip are fairly pricey....and the Palms is very "trendy" if you want a cheaper hotel to just rest the ol eyes......or at least shower and dress I'd say go Ecalibur...even if it is cheesy.....J.C Wooligans is still around...but yeah Fados @ Green valley ranch really is a lot of fun....the Band is a total riot....who else knows an Irish band that sings "Snoop Doggs Gin and Juice"????? If ya go early and grab a bite...you can avoid the cover charge for when the band plays....they have good beer and really decent food...( I miss you guiness and cider). We can still do Palomino club for those who want...its in North Las Vegas ( very seedy part of town) but its always been a good time...Its not as commercial as some of the more trendy strip clubs ( Spearmint Rhino, Cheetahs) Frank Sinatra and the rat pack used to hang out at the Palomino..its the ONLY fully nude club that serves alcohol..

and yeah phisto its cool if you stay here after everyone else leaves....I just wish that I could accomodate everyone =(

Kitty, I know that I will need a room for the nights of the 14th and 15th. I assume I'll be sharing a room with Phisto. If we can manage to get everyone in the same hotel, that would be excellent!

I feel ya Lilae, fireworks were illegal here in North Carolina for the longest, longer in our little one horse roll up the streets at 8pm town. Have only legalized the smaller fireworks in the past few years. Not that we didn't take a 10 min drive across the state line into South Carolina and get them anyway /evil grin/.

I have already booked my room at the Excaliber.

Also, I will be out on the 14th to take care of some biz in town... So I'm there on the 14th and 15th .. have to boogie back to So. California Saturday morning though... got a wine-tasting party to go to that night! (yeah, I get all the tough gigs...)

It would be great to hit Fado's ... I gotta check that out... just wish I could see the band on Saturday.... but heh, a good pint o'cream ale and something rock'ish to folk'ish and I'm good anywhere. Would love a shepard's pie too... if possible

Khary - i fly into Denver Intl at 0945 on American Airlines AA1398. Hope this isnt too early.

Now.. just need to hear back from sooth and killa (for when i hit Alaska)

I appreciate you handling the booking of the rooms, Kitty. Can you PM me the necessary information? If I need to, I can call the hotel myself, if they need a credit card or something.

EDIT: Oh, and I think we should try to hammer out a few details. I know Phisto and I will likely be in Vegas by the evening of the 14th, so maybe we can all meet somewhere for dinner?

Ok I'm back in the country.. Lots of action on this page while I was away...

I have taken everyones lead, and booked the 14/15 in Excalibur...

I will sort my flights out next week, but I will either get in around 6pm or around 10pm, dependant on airline.. And will fly out Sat morn about 10.30am for Australia..

6pm will be good for dinner, otherwise I guess I'm meeting for alcohol..

just look for the sexist man on the plannet and the person who has all the people standing around him blowing trumpets to announce his arrival.... then look behind him and you will see me. Ill wear a shirt that will be easily recognisable. Dont know what one yet but ill let you know.
