Before I run off to preorder this game today. Will anyone else be joining me? I've seen a couple of you online but I'm just wondering if I'll be the lone VT come launch day.

I doubt i play the game. If I play an mmo it will be WoW until AoC comes out. Even then, I find my play time being cut into more and more as I spend time with my GF.

I havent logged into WoW for a good 2 weeks.

Yeah, I'll most likely pre-order, too. Now, it's just a matter of deciding whether or not to do the lifetime membership or the per-month thing.

I doubt I even MMO anymore at all, really. Doubt I reactivate WoW after the account runs out, and I doubt I preorder this. Real life is turning out to be a hoot here lately, and I'm prepping for another move not far from where I am now, but with a much better atmosphere than this god forsaken hole.

Here anymore, even if I do have the time. I cant bring myself to play games.

Currently considering a move-in w/GF, when her son gets out of school for the summer. If that happens, my gaming will be offically put to a halt.

Yeah, I quit gaming for awhile myself. I just need the temporary diversion from reality now and again.

That's pretty much where I am. I quit gaming for, what, around 3 years(?) so my wife could focus on her Ph.D. without our daughter distracting her too much (which wasn't at all possible with me spending hours online each night). But now that she has her Ph.D. and her new job, and I've got my new job, we're in a position where I can stand to enjoy gaming again (though probably not to the extent of the old DAOC days).

I don't think any of us play nearly as often as we used to Khary, even those of us that play daily or almost daily.

Not having kids and currently taking pathetically easy classes, I should have plenty of time to crank it out, but the desire has waned. :( I would have quit WoW long ago if I didn't want to see the new content so much. ><

I think that's what I've liked about LotRO so far..."quest grinding" seems more enjoyable and more targetted towards my available gaming time than the old "mob grind"

Have you determined yet whether you'll do the monthly or lifetime membership yet?

Not yet. It's definately more advantageous to do the lifetime if I think I'll be playing more than 20 months. $200 is hard to justify for a game though.

See, I think if several of us end up playing and grouping together (which often makes some of those quests very fun and easy), I could see us playing for 20 months, easy.

At least I have around a month to make up my mind :)
