Before I run off to preorder this game today. Will anyone else be joining me? I've seen a couple of you online but I'm just wondering if I'll be the lone VT come launch day.
Yeah, I quit gaming for awhile myself. I just need the temporary diversion from reality now and again.WUNBadassTHANE wrote:Here anymore, even if I do have the time. I cant bring myself to play games.
Currently considering a move-in w/GF, when her son gets out of school for the summer. If that happens, my gaming will be offically put to a halt.
That's pretty much where I am. I quit gaming for, what, around 3 years(?) so my wife could focus on her Ph.D. without our daughter distracting her too much (which wasn't at all possible with me spending hours online each night). But now that she has her Ph.D. and her new job, and I've got my new job, we're in a position where I can stand to enjoy gaming again (though probably not to the extent of the old DAOC days).Darith wrote:Yeah, I quit gaming for awhile myself. I think that's what I've liked about LotRO so far..."quest grinding" seems more enjoyable and more targetted towards my available gaming time than the old "mob grind"Kharybdis wrote:(though probably not to the extent of the old DAOC days).Darith wrote:Yeah, I quit gaming for awhile myself. Have you determined yet whether you'll do the monthly or lifetime membership yet?Darith wrote:Well, I picked up the pre-order last night at BestBuy.
Not yet. It's definately more advantageous to do the lifetime if I think I'll be playing more than 20 months. $200 is hard to justify for a game though.Kharybdis wrote:Have you determined yet whether you'll do the monthly or lifetime membership yet?Darith wrote:Well, I picked up the pre-order last night at BestBuy.
See, I think if several of us end up playing and grouping together (which often makes some of those quests very fun and easy), I could see us playing for 20 months, easy.Darith wrote:Not yet.
