Shout out from way back...

Running around the Brandywine server after the giganto-patch tonight, I got a tell from a guy asking if I was from DAOC. He'd seen the VT tag.
I told him I was and he said that he had once had a dwarf healer in our guild. He went by the name Sigmanis.
If I remember correctly, he was in the guild in the really early days... like shortly after we formed. He and some of his friends are pre-ordering LOTRO, so it looks like we may have some folks to quest with.

I ran into a guy today at the hospital that had actually heard of DAoC. That's like winning the freaking lottery here.

Let's just say the radiology dept. was really slow for a while and discussion somehow found it's way to online games.

Also, there's another guild on the Brandywine server with a name similar to ours, they're called The Volsungs.

I go back next week for the last 6 hours I need of observation, then all I have to do is complete the application and turn it into my advisor.
So far, it's been very interestng

When I was back hot-n-heavy in EQ1, turns out my dentist played on the same server. He joined our guild and we had many late late nights pummeling orcs or what not.
The dental office ladies hated when I would come in, because the Doc would want to talk about this quest or that drop.. and get him going on a tangent for 30 minutes. Messed up all his appointments for the day..
