Any chance someone other than me and Darith will play this?

I have to admit, I really love this game. I like the fact that there is a ton of stuff to do solo, but that you really bring out the best in your character when you group. I like the wide variety of quests, and I like the stories and graphics.

I've already preordered, and I know Darith has, too. My question is whether there is any point in starting VT in LOTRO. If it's just going to be two of us, it might serve us better to join an established guild for consistent grouping.

What say you all? :?

I havent pre-ordered as yet, but downloaded the whole 3.9Gb and updates last night...

Still debating whether to wait for the beta to end of just take the plunge... I should have signed up earlier and had a go...

I will definitely be in after the 6th April though... Just let me know which server if you decide to change from Brandywine..

Cheers
Sooth

P.S. Welcome back too bud... Long time from the MMORPG world..

Sooth and anyone else interested, I had planned on sticking with the Brandywine server but if other folks want to move that's fine...just let me know before Friday (when I can get back in to the open beta).

Well DAOC managed to piss me off yet again, with another patch come lock out, you'd think they'd learn how to patch properly atleast once in a lifetime...

Frustrated I signed up as a founder last night so will be there tomorrow with you Dar..

Wont get on till after work, or early morning... Any hints on a good caster class... Still not much of a melee player.... And I havent had the opportunity to read much about LOTR as yet..

Cheers
Sooth

EDIT: I was just reading the VN boards for LOTR and I see Izziee from The Ninth Night is moving 24 people from DAOC mid/gala to the LOTR Gladden server... I cant remember much of that guild but if numbers dont pick up that may be an option..

I can't help you much with caster stuff Sooth...I think the Loremaster may be what you're looking for but can't be sure.

I don't remember The Ninth Night...can someone fill me in? If there are going to be some Mid/Gala players heading to a specific server I don't see why we can't meet them there. :)

Well, I already know several people on Brandywine who have said they plan to return there after launch. I guess the connection to old Mid/Gala players doesn't really do anything for me since I haven't played DAOC in over 2 years.

I plan to start up my toons on Brandywine again, and my first will be a minstrel.

I'm already there. My first toon is hunter...what a surprise. ;)

I think I'll be sticking with WoW for the time being, especially since I can't afford to buy a new game right now. Also, my mage is nearly 60 and I'm just waiting for Chad to catch up (he's 52) so that we can group together and get to 70. Once I've satisfied myself with seeing the expansion, I'll probably quit.

I'm out of school for the summer, and hopefully I'll get in my radiology program this fall. If I don't get in right away, I'll be out of school until I do. If I do, I won't be playing because the plan is to quit my job and go full time hard core study.

I am very tempted to play this one ... I had a good time in the few days as a hunter during the stress test...

I'll try to get on to the World Tour Beta...

My name is Skroto on Brandywine...if you see me in there... GRAB ME!

What times do you normally play, Urgon? I've got a decent amount of free time this weekend and we can group up for some quests. :)

No worries, Sooth. I figure we're all going to be a little fragmented until we're all at level 15, in the same area, and have the opportunity to work on some really kickass group quests together.

I know right now I'm mainly working on knocking out the deeds I'll blow past once levelling starts again along with working on crafting (I have 50+ boiled leather for you Khary) and trying to get a toon with a decent monetary base.

World tour vs. Beta

Heya,

I noticed that when I logged on this weekend, I had two choices at logon: World Tour and Beta.

The Beta choice is all restricted to me. So I started a toon on the World Tour. But, I am now thinking that you guys are on the Beta servers..and not the World Tour right?

Guess, I would just need to pre-order to get access to the Beta side....

All the servers are production servers Urgon. Did you get on Brandywine?
