Crafting!

Post by Kharybdis »

I've made my minstrel a tailor and my hunter a woodsman, and both are at tier 3 materials (if I can find them). I've also made my champion a weaponcrafter, and planning to create a scholar with my captain.

So this post is to inform you all that I can make decent gear for your newbies (below level 10), if I have the materials.

That leads to the 2nd purpose of this post... if you all ever find yourself with medium hides from your adventuring (or any kind of metal/wood), I will gladly take them off of your hands for the same price a vendor would give you... maybe even more (don't have the economy fully figured out yet).

If anyone can mindlessly build up crafting skill, it's you Khary <3

I never did get a single LGM anything in DAoC. I think my highest was like an 840 tailor on Pell.

Sooth is better at it than I am. But the way the system is right now, quest items are much better than anything people can craft for a similar level. The only purpose behind being a crafter is to sell critical successes at the auction house and to sell materials you gather to vendors. The only reason I actually make armor at all anymore is to skill up. Once I hit the ceiling for a specific tier, I usually sell the raw materials straight to a vendor, since it's often more profitable.

Ok, let's see:

Avarys (Burglar) is a Tier 2 weaponcrafter
Feldenak (Hunter) is a Tier 3 woodworker
and
Darith (Champion) is a newbie armorcrafter

The more things we keep among us the better, let me know if you need any help. I'm more than willing to ship boiled leather to the tailors that need it along with any other items that may be of use to us. I think I've shipped a fair number of recipes to Khary's toons...or at least offered to. :)

Khary is, but I'm not working on it, really. I'm too busy with Wyllraen's tailoring, so if you want to go Armsman, I might have a few recipes for you already.

I'll see what jewels and recipes I can find for you... and thanks for the hides. I've started stockpiling them in my vault so the kinship will have plenty of them available for alt gear.
