I spend more time watching my 17-year old daughter play video games than I spend playing myself these days, but it's all good.
I really figure we ought to get a Slack workspace or Zoom set up for all us old timers at some point. Probably better these days than an old message board.

I've not played Overwatch, but it looks pretty cool! No longer have a console system tho'...
Mostly been playing old Everquest 1 progression servers... Definitely retro gaming, but its something I can put into my limited schedule for game-time.. 30 mins here and there.
Spent a lot of time brewing these past few years! Almost went pro too! A good story to share over a pint.. let me know if you make it out to California anytime soon!

I just wanted to send holiday greetings to everyone and let you know about the recent changes to the Volsung Tribe boards.
My previous web host was way behind in their updates, and I was looking to move my small cadre of websites elsewhere. These boards where on such an old version of phpBB that it was challenging to get it all moved over to the current version; however, it is now complete! We are running on current software and a faster server.
I decided to drop the front end of the website, and make http://www.volsungtribe.com map to the forums directly. I know we rarely use this site anymore, but I wanted to at least preserve it for those few times one of us drops in and says 'Howdy!'. Also, during the upgrades, we lost the custom visuals of the site. I will try to get those added in some semblance over the holidays.
Anyways, I hope you are all doing well and enjoying work, family, games & life in general!! Have a great holiday and don't forget to logon for the double-XP weekends around Christmas!

I was just wondering and looked up that DAoC came out in October of 2001.. which means we have been a guild for about 13 years. Yeah, 13 years!
Anyways, hope everyone is doing well and enjoying some fun-time online in whatever game is catching your fancy!
Recently, I re-installed XCOM: Enemy Unknown, which I had not finished due to my HD crash of 2013. It was a really fun way to spend some time over the holidays!!
I still play some old EQ1, but have pretty much petered out on that now too. What else is coming up? Anything cool out there?
I won't go to WoW at this point... no fun playing low levels while the whole world is off in the upper-lvel content!
Post something if you read this post! If I don't see any replies, I will probably start archiving and plan on a shutdown of this site.

Just wanted to wish you all a great holiday season! Hope everyone will get some quality time with family, friends ... and fantasy role-playing games in general!
I'm sure this board is mostly forgotten at this point. I myself haven't been on here for over a year! Been too darn busy! That, and I don't get much chance to play MMORPG's anymore.
Well, okay ... I poke around on EQ1 once in a blue moon ... Had some fun running through one of the newer zones and leveling up some alts! So much has changed (shallow exp curve)... and yet, so much has stayed the same (/ooc rants) .. ha ha
I was having some fun in Rift a while back, but when my HD crashed this summer ... I just never got around to reinstalling ... Hmm.. maybe over the holiday break!?!?
