I don't get to play much, but my sorc is now level 18 on Gorfang.
Chad's WE is 31, and he plays a lot, but no one is ever on anymore.
We're trying to get 6 of us on at once so we can have a guild of our own, but it hasn't happened yet.

I ended up getting extremely frustrated with how quickly it turns away from the fast paced, soloable first 10-15 levels. As a healer, I had to be grouped with a tank and a dps to effectively do anything, and in a small guild with drastically different schedules like ours it just wasn't fun. So yeah, i'm done with it for the time being, maybe I'll check it out again sometime in the future.

mmmkay, so the last few months have been time consuming to say the least, but I'm free now and had some questions.
I got a little bit of time on my hands coming up and I'd like a nice little compare and contrast if at all possible.
First, anyone still playing warhammer? if so, would you recommend it?
Second, has anyone tried the new WoW xpac yet? Thoughts and opinions would be greatly appreciated.

Yeah warhammer ended up being a pretty big disappointment all around, especially after the beta made it seem like it'd be so good.
WOW's expansion on the other hand, is great for so many reasons.
-Faction grinds handled by wearing a tabard while you do lv 80 instances, so you can rep up any rep you want in any instance.
-10 man and 25 man versions of every raid instance
-More lore than you can shake a stick at, and you directly impact the story through a technique called Phasing. Basically you can get involved in huge events like storming cities or watching dragons lay waste to an area infested by scourge, and when you go back it'll appear like that event has occurred. The lich king is directly involved in almost every quest line, and shows up a ton. Also there's cutscenes in game. And major heroes of both factions die.
-New abilities are pretty cool and the talents are great.
-Most important crafted items are now BoE (OMG A TRADE SKILL WHERE YOU CAN TRADE!) and the benefit to actually having the skill comes from self only enchants or sockets.
-Gold is super plentiful. I made about 2-3k while leveling and still have 4 zones of quests left to clear for cash.
-Instances are a lot more fun and intuitive, and super quick. One of them, Azjol-Nerub, takes literally 15 minutes. The boss mechanics are really cool, such as one HP Lovecraft inspired guy who causes everyone to go insane, phasing them and forcing them to fight off shades of their party members in order to return to the battle.
-No heroic keys and very little attunement required (One person in the raid has to have killed sapphiron in order to fight malygos, for example).
-Even some pieces of Tier 7 gear are handled through badge vendors, making it easier to complete your set if you are unlucky on rolls or can't attend often for dkp if your crazy guild still does that.
Basically they took the entire game and turned it on its head, making it about 1000 times more fun for guilds like ours while still leaving it hardcore viable.

Newly important WoW detail!
10 man raiding may be way easy. We beat all 15 bosses in naxx in 2 nights with no more than 2 learning wipes on any one boss. Most of the guild was in mixed blues with one or two heroic epics.
Malygos is tricky and we're working on him, but I don't see it taking more than a few more days to bring him down. There's several very unique aspects to the fight and you have to do a ridiculous amount of damage in the 10 minute enrage timer (something like 7 million to him and 1.5 mil to his adds in phase 2). Phase 3 is also weird, when he shatters the floor and you have to kill him off while riding on red dragons and using their abilities instead of your own.
Note that this is not necessarily a bad thing as long as they keep content moving at a decent pace. Ulduar and Icecrown still need to be added, and something with Deathwing is rumored. I'd rather not throw myself against a brick wall for weeks like I've had to do in the past.
