Well, I went ahead and bought Rift and have been playing it a bit this week. So far, I really like it. Very well done, modern MMORPG. I'm eager to try crafting, but have not gotten there yet. Will let you know.

This Ally Code will grant new players (excludes existing RIFT subscribers) a digital download of RIFT and access to certain features of this game during the Allies of the Ascended Event (see above for event dates). You will need to have or create a Trion Worlds Account to participate in this event.
RIFT requires a recurring monthly subscription fee and an internet connection (for which the player is responsible) to play. In order to continue playing RIFT upon conclusion of the Allies of the Ascended Event, the player must purchase the game software at a retail store or via digital download and update their Account information with a valid credit card or official Game Time Card to pay the recurring subscription fee. The first subscription fee will be charged upon conclusion of the thirty (30) days of gameplay time included with initial game purchase.

Hey Urgon,

Hi folks long time no hear..... seems we all return to volsung at some or other.

I have just got on to let you know that a few of us DAoC/WoW'rs have moved to Rift.

But i see Urgon has beaten us to it. We are currently on the US - Regulos shard, there we have Amoq, Azza, Mont, Koobs and a few other hanger ons. So urgon when the character transfer frees up come over and see us.

We dont have a guild as such but are keenly looking to join one or start our own.

All is well over here with the koobs' we are now in Brisbane so i will have to update my details.

Will check back in a couple of days to see what interest this has sparked.

Yes, I have been playing on Greenscale .. 17th level Rogue .. Will have to checkout Regulos at some point. I have a friend playing with me over here now. Will see if we can move when transfers come up...

Hey Koobs,

Toying with the idea of joying the fray.. Been playing Champions Online for a 4mths and although it's free and can be fun.. The repetitiveness of the dungeons is starting to bore me..

What sort of classes do you already have.. You know my penchant toward casters, so let me know what would be of assistance.. Thinking of a warden, though can always head toward a DPS caster.. At worst I'll be in for 30days and then drop out..

I have bought a 3 month subscription to try it out....

So on the Regulos - Guardians we have a guild called VT LEFTOVERS.

We now have Amoq, Azza,Koobs,Mont,Sooth, and some other hangerons that you prolly wont know.

We are hoping to get Urgon and company to come over in the not to distant future. We have a free 7 day trial if you want... it has a lvl ceiling of 16.

And if you start the game you get your toons and stuff fromthe trial.

Hey Emmy... I'm back in the VT fold again for a hit out at RIFT.. Like Koobs I brought a 3mth cycle, so will see how it goes... Seems very similar to DAOC with the ability to respec to experience the many different builds you can have.. Do like the idea of 4 different builds that you can switch between at a whim..
