A bit off topic I suppose...

I'll jump right in this one. A day that began like any other day became something great. I don't really remember it, but I'll make it up as I go. No, really, I will.
I awoke that morning and walked outside. The air was cold. It was always cold that time of year. I remember it so very well. Sometimes, the simple things stay with you the longest. The way the wind took the breath right out of me that day has stayed with me all this time. Life's kind of funny that way I guess. You can't remember what shirt you wore last Wednesday, but you can remember something like the way the moon looked on August 29th, 1995. Oh well, I digress.
I got a message from a friend of mine, some of you may know him, his name is Chris. He asked me what I was doing later, as usual, I didn't know. I never really was much for planning. I prefer to ride the waves and see where the wind blows. He said he'd come up with something. Usually, that worries me. Hindsight being 20/20, I'm glad I wasn't worried on this particular day.
So, I sat out on the days tasks. I can't recall them, but I do remember how run of the mill it all seemed. Eventually, the day was done and so was I. I had set out and achieved what it was I wanted to do. Perhaps it was make a new purchase, or just roam around the world about, taking in the sights and sounds, as I am prone to do that sometimes. Wasting time isn't such a waste of time, if done properly.
Chris finally gets back in touch with me. He says he's hit a streak of luck and managed to get a party planned. He was always good for that. At that moment, I was worried somewhat in the back of my head. So, I sat out to meet him and kick off whatever he had in mind. After all, if all else fails, I could always leave. So I put on the Sunday best and truck on out to the predetermined spot of destination. I remember how far it seemed that day.
The air was cold that day, but the people weren't. Everyone was on their best behavior, including me. Looking back, everything is almost surreal. I still see them sometimes, all decked out in red and yellow. Funny how I can't recall what colors I had on that day. Of course that wouldn't be an easy feat, as I seemed to change them often back then.
As the day turned to evening, we finally got our little party moving. Through the the deepest pit, to the darkest cavern, we trekked on through. We took everything that accursed place could throw at us and eventually it all paid off. On this day, we won. We had made short work of the mighty frontier dungeon we'd all heard stories about. And to think, none among us really had a clue what we were doing either. It was a spur of the moment deal.
On this day, it was that I met a wonderful group of people who went by the name of Volsung. I thought them odd at first, I can surely imagine what they thought of me. Ah well, again, I digress. You see, this isn't so much a story of how I met the best group of people to ever grace the planet. It's just about a simple little raid. As a matter of fact, I think I was wearing blue that day.
Anyhow....
Cheers
FArFIG...ah whatever, just call me kenny.
