well eye surgery went well, according to the doctor. I had it last monday morning and gotta say that it's one of the most painful things ever. Good old oxycodone helps a bit.

Anyway, gets a little better every day although I still can't see well as that will take time. I missed my first week of school but I'll be going tomorrow if I feel ok and try to make up what I missed. I'll probably be able to return to work this next weekend.

I'm happy to hear that you're doing well. I'm glad your surgery went ok. As for my year, well, I turn 26 today and I'll be dealing with people who can't figure out the big deal about claiming someone else's kid.

That aside, it's been a pretty good year. How's your doggy doing?

happy bday farf <3 I'm considering faxing you all my tax crap, but I'm still unsure what to do about Turc's former job... where he was paid a flat rate supposedly after taxes, but he's even unclear where the taxes went. Something about a credit card... they (his old bosses) were kinda shady when it came to that stuff. /sigh Maybe he'll get a W-2 in the next week or so. I hope.

Sammy is doing ok, thyroid wasn't the problem so who knows. We just put some eyedrops in his eye every day and he seems to be acting fairly normal with just a little head tilt.

I figure as long as he's eating and pooping and not attacking us he's ok. I can't afford an MRI for a dog so that will have to do. He's got a long time yet, only 8 years old!

Even though my eye looks totally grody still, it looks better than it did and I can work without the pirate patch and only risk people thinking I'm mildly retarded. If I look to the left anyone can see the bloody mess on the white of my eye so I can gross people out good if I want to. That's all I ever hoped for after this surgery. To gross people out. I get a sick thrill out of that.

first, i'll start with what i'm good at:

as the old job goes, you could call and ask if they are sending w-2's. they'll generally tell you if they are or if they aren't. in the event they aren't, ask about a 1099. if they aren't sending either or any statement of any kind, then you're looking at a schedule c, which is self employment. i see an increasing number of companies screw their employees this way, and yes, it's legal. if this becomes the case with turc's last job, then you'll still have a chance, it just won't be as pretty as you're used to.

and now, i'll move to the things that are fun:

glad to hear the dog is eating and pooping alright. and as far as grossing people out with the eye thing....

when i was 12, i had my head split open in an accident on a school bus. i had to have stitches in the back of my head, and to do that, my head had to be shaved. did i wear a hat? nope. did i stay home a week or two? nope. instead, i jumped at every opporitunity to go out into public to show off a badass scar.
