@ The Leftovers

Ok, we had enough folks on tonight to do it, so The Leftovers guild is formed.

Log on and see any member for your membership card and secret decoder ring.

Weeeeeeee

Lots to sort out but we'll get it all taken care of.

1) Ranks/titles we'll be using for core members and if we invite some casual people we somewhat trust.

2) Special rank/title for special people like Bridog

3) Guild house. For bindstone/porters, if we even need one. Guild dues can be paid through setting a guild tax.

4) Once we blow enough stuff up, getting an alliance, if we want one

5) Getting our mains we'll be playing ready for RvR, and getting our secondaries somewhat ready and ToA'd/MLd.

6) Do we have a chat program?

7) Leftovers will be about having a lot of fun and doing stuff that is Pro-Realm. If that involves running a few groups, so be it. No Leftover Left Behind! Don't get *too* stressed on making that "final" RvR template, and maxing your toon out to the brim with anything and everything, because you'll be stuck bashing PvE mobs forever...have some fun with the game and learn your characters as they apply to the game. It'll be a casual guild with casual play time and if people have enough fun, they'll want to log on to play instead of making it a chore.

Thanks to Blod for getting the schtuff set up.

Thanks to Bridog for inspiring the Rank 9 guild title.

No problemo brutha, it was one of those spur of the moment things where we happened to have enough on. Besides, the guild is all about logging in whenever you want anyway. :D No pressure, you can join the circus later tonight.

What we discussed and what we ultimately did last night was to just put everyone that was on and formed to rank 0.

That way, everyone has all the permissions and nobody has to worry about who can do what or set stuff up.

It will be a new concept among the core group of trusted folks, where everyone's equal and everyone can just go have fun.

If, there comes a time when we see we want to break things down more, that's fine too.

Most of us have our own houses for any personal stuff, so my image of a guild vault for the leftovers was more for RvR siege gear and/or possibly books/pages for artifacts -- stuff for the good of the guild. DAoC doesn't really have any hordable loot that you couldn't either go buy again at a vendor (ToA keys / encounter-necessary items), or go farm again within an hour or so the way scroll drops are these days, so I don't think it's an issue to just go on an honor system.

On a more personal note - last night was the first time, in the history of DAoC that any character I've played has EVER worn an emblem other than <Jormungander>.

It really felt strange last night seeing that emblem on Blods and Argort.

Regarding the guild-house, I have a request:

My RL wife Sarah joined The Leftovers with her lvl 50 Valkyrie, Eyden. (50 spear, 48 odins, 32 parry, EoY L10, and StormLord ML6.

She was excited about the prospect of the Leftovers and meeting / getting to know new folks, but she really has an artistic flair and was wondering if anyone would mind if she volunteered to decorate the Leftovers guild house when one is established. She did a very nice job on her pesonal house, IMO, and it looks really nice. It's something she's good at and takes a lot of pride in, and she's willing to volunteer for the job if no one objects.

I'm on CST here. Alabama.

Generally I'm on when I can be, around 6:30 pm CST -- until.

Sometimes (like tonight and this weekend), I have my son Sean. I get him every other weekend and I try to spend time with him when I can, so I won't be on until after he's in bed around 8:00 pm CST.

This weekend I'm taking my wife shopping for maternity clothes tomorrow, so I probably won't be on until after 8pm CST tonight and tomorrow night.
