Here I am, no longer a single man on Valentine's Day. I go buy, pick up my girlfriend a dozen Egyptian Orchids (Holy shit they are expensive) Dozen African Violets and one silk rose. I pick out the vase and it looked something like this

And the vase looked like a Stained glass church window converted into a cone shape. I think they called it a Mosaic. I got her "The Departed" DvD because she is HUGE into Mafia type movies.

I had them arranged in a 1-2 pattern with the rose standing on top with a nice handwritten card. Now, I couldnt think of the zip code she lives at because it is an outskirt of Houston (Channelview i think) I show up, I knock no answer....

So I leave the Gift there, and I realize when im driving back to my place that I just spent an assload of cash and drove 20ish miles to bring the gift to her w/o thinking twice about it.

I guess that was the right move, because she called me during this inner dialogue crying and saying that was the most romantic thing anyone has ever done for her. I realize two things.

a) Im whipped now and I havent even gotten any yet

b) Im posting about it on an internet message forum

C) Kenny will call me upon reading this and tease me for (a)

My question is, when did I go all soft and mushy? What happened to the asshole Chris that use to scoff at these things.

For VD, I got my wife a new trash can and said "You gonna like it, woman!"

(Of course, it was one of those brushed steel, fancy jobs that is going to match everything in the kitchen of the house we plan to buy in a few months, and she'd been wanting one for months, and damn, I'm whipped, too.)

I didn't get anything big for the wife for VD. I did cook dinner and get flowers though. Yep, color me whipped as well.

Yeah, I miss you folks. I'll try and be more active here, at the very least. Hell, I might even start gaming again, now that the wife is done with her PhD.
