Turc is feeling better, he goes back to the doctor Aug 9th for more X-rays and hopefully the doc will give the ok for him to go back to work.
Nearly a month ago, I got a "regret" letter resulting from my application to the radiology (diagnostic imaging) program at my school. I was pretty upset, Phisto can attest to that.

We went out and got drunk though, so that was ok. I couldn't get a hold of the radiology advisor (she was on vacation) that week, so I called right away and got in touch with the CLT (clinical lab technology) advisor and set up a meeting with her, got the spot, switched majors and prepared to carry on...
Week later I get a call back from the radiology advisor and am able to make an appt, week after that I get to talk to her. Turns out it was a technicality, because my old school didn't transfer one tiny little number that they should have and it screwed everything up. She appealed it and last Monday I got a "Congratulations" letter from the Diagnostic Imaging program.

Problem is, since I didn't have all month to prepare, I have to scramble to get everything I need. That includes ALL vaccinations (measles, rubella, tetanus, etc.) TB test, and a 3 shot series Hepatitis B vaccine. >< Gotta have all this done by Aug 20th. Sent away for a damn birth certificate today too from Illinois, since the Nuclear Regulatory Commission requires proof that I'm over 18. /sigh I also spent 3 hours in the damn financial aid office today to sign two sheets of paper. Gotta love how easy they make higher education.
Good thing is, I jump right in!!!!! I start working at a hospital for clinicals one day a week by the end of the month, and I'm so damn excited about that. I just hope I can get the prerequisite vaccines and paperwork done by then. They tried to scare us today in orientation, but I'm looking forward to it.
Ok, vent over. Sorry to bother you all. I just had to share this crazy day. <3
