I looked at the CM today and noticed that yet again our guild house has no f$%@ing money... I took money from the guild bank to top up the rent account the other day and got a statement in relation to that account sent to me.. Seems Turc and I are the only ones to have withdrawn cash from there..

Now the good news is that we wont be topping up the CM again till after the next patch, and I recommend that those who have goods to sell use their private CM's..

If someone wants to put their hand up to take control of all the permissions do so now, as when the new patch goes through I will be downgrading everyone to Rank 1 other than Mal and myself... This will remove any blame for lost cash as only GM's will be able to access any of the reserves..

To who ever borrowed the last 5pl off the merchant, I hope you brought something worthwhile, cause if this shit keeps up you wont have a guild house to port to...

I've tried to downrank someone from rank 0 to rank 1 in Jormungander -- and gotten an error that I could not do it.

Has something changed recently to where a rank 0 can now remove rank from other rank zeros ??

It's easy to test if you have 2 accounts - just try to demote one to rank 1.

Unless I was doing something wrong ???

Perhaps if you got a quorum of your Rank 0 members together in one spot and petitioned for CSR assistance, you could collectively petition to get a CSR to alter the rank on some until you guys could work things out?

As an outsider, I don't want to stick my nose into you guys internal concerns, but I can't stand a thief.

It may also be that a CSR could go through the logs and identify who removed the money.

I believe that a rank zero has to quit the guild and be reinvitied.

Only reason I know this is that a while back, Wyllough (Khary's warrior) was GM and Khary had had it, so he had to quit the guild and be reinvited since he couldn't demote himself and no one else could either.

I also wanted one of my alts made rank zero at one time, and had to promote Shubo to rank zero to do it, then he had to quit because I could not demote him now that I think about it.

The only other way is if the rank zero is inactive for a certain amount of time... they are sent an email notifying them that the next in line will be made GM and they will be demoted automatically by Mythic. I got an email about this once back when no GM's were active in VT (Phisto, Me, Khary, Killa, all inactive). If there is another GM that is active, I don't believe there is anything that will happen. You might just be stuck with this person as rank zero until they either quit and rejoin, or leave the game entirely. I don't think Mythic can do anything about it either.

Sooth, if I were you I would go ahead and reset permissions now. The way we used to have it was that ONLY GM's had access to the guild house CM. I think you can allow other guild members to put items on it but NOT take money out.

Hopefully this isn't a Mythic bug, but if it isn't shame on whoever took the rent money.

Thats the worst of it Lil, only GM's currently have removal access from the CM, hence the need to downgraded everyone bar a couple of people..

I particular chose Mal as he is probably the most consistent player at the moment.. If others dont feel like giving up the title, I am quite happy to step aside and will give up my role and just become a member again.. I not up for the aggravation of trying to fight a losing battle...

The way I understand it, the new patch, 1.84 will introduce a working /gc autoremove not to mention fix /gc demote and /gc removeaccount.. Hopefully these wont be exclusive to lower than GM ranks only..

I will wait and see.. Hopefully the patch and/or someones concious will catch up with them..

Well I just logged in and needless to say I am happy that whoever borrowed the 5pl put it back.. Plus 250g interest..

This doesnt remove the need to kill off this practice though.. The guild CSM is exactly that, for the guild, no-one should be using it as their own personal banker...

Thanks for rectifying the CSM and if anyone needs cash that bad, please just send me a tell, my CSM has 20pl sitting on it and I will gladly loan it rather than see the guild house fall over..

I have been on sporadically and when I have been on it's been Gareth Hib not because I am staying away ... I feel bad because I don't have time to hang with everyone and do anything atm.

I have been toying with animist / chanter /bainshee combos and I gotta tell ya we are really screwed when it comes to our leveling.

Yeah whatever works guys I support it. If we as GMs need to demote each other that's fine by me. It's 4 am and I just can't get up the hot air and bluster...

I dont mind giving up the gm slot while im away. A few people have access to my account (Farf, Lil, Turc) and if any of them see fit to lower my rank within guild I dont have any problem with it.
