DR Information Guide

For the Dragon raid you will need to assemble 25 people plus bots. Everyone will need to be lvl 50 I make no exceptions to it. You will need 9 tanks, 8 healers, 4 shamans, and 4 casters or hunters I prefer to have casters over hunters though. You can opt to bring along a SB as part of the 25 but I wouldn’t take more then 1 or 2 on each raid. Out of the healers and shamans at least 4 need to have Font of Power its better if all the healers have their own FoP but not necessary. Each person has a specific job to do and the main thing to remember is to bring people that you know and can trust that they will listen to what you are saying.
Once you engage the dragon no one can go afk it is important to have everyone there for the entire fight. When you get to the lair have each group setup at their assigned entrances, you will need them to attempt to pull the WW out of the corners of the lair which in doing so will probably aggro the dragon but as long as they are outside the lair it wont be able to attack them. I suggest having someone else drive to the lair so that you can explain on the way down there what is going to happen.
The tanks job on this raid is to keep aggro and keep the dragon on the mound. The important part is for the tanks to do the best job they can to keep the dragon on the mound and not near the support classes. Once a tank gets aggro the rest of the tanks need to get to the sides and rear of the dragon to avoid getting pbaoed. The dragon will pbaoe about every 20% or so of the dragons life and can wipe most of the tanks if they are all in front of her when she does it. Also tanks should not be using legendary weapons or sun weapons both do significantly less damage then crafted/dropped weapons.
Casters/hunters have a very important job. There job is to kill the dogs off. The dragon is magic immune so casters shouldn’t even try to hit her. Also I prefer casters over hunters cause casters will try to get side tracked with attacking the dragon instead of keeping an eye out for the dogs. There are two kinds of dogs and both must die and not be allowed out of the lair. If one dog gets out then it will come back with 6-7 high con purple mobs.
Shamans will primarily need to be either on the mound or on the base of it since they will be providing end regen to the tanks. The shamans primary job is to rez people and rebuff as they get them back up. Shamans should be trying to do a minimum of healing as to not provoke the dragon to attack them.
Healers job is to keep everyone standing during the fights and to be primary rezzers also. They should be standing within FoPs near their entrances but not close to other healers/casters if at all possible. The healers should be using base heals, small rezzes, base group heals to limit how much aggro they get. The FoPs should be a short distance in from their entrance but not near the mound. Also do not use any Spheres of Rejuv they generate unnecessary aggro and don’t heal enough to make them worth having.
If a caster or healer gets aggro and the dragon leaps off the mound at them they need to move to the mound till they either die or loose aggro. They need to not just run aimlessly around the lair.
If the Dragon Glares at someone they need to move away from other people this will generally happen to healers and occasionally casters very rarely tanks or shamans. The glare will be a /say not a /broadcast so you have to be on your toes for it so that the person can move away from others.
When the dragon gets into low 30s you will need to drop det fields on the mound. The dragon will start chain stunning at that point. It will become crucial to keep her on the mound and away from the healers and casters so they don’t get stunned too.
Also we have found through experience that if you have any battlemasters with you both essence flames and essence dampen both hit the dragon harder then regular styles. To help get and maintain aggro I usually switch between essence flames and taunt.
This might take a couple tries before it works as people get adapted to what she does otherwise good luck with it. The reason why I take 25 people is so that everyone walks out with 1 skill stone and 1 RA stone each raid. On the last page is a sheet similar to what I use to set up the groups.
Also you do not go and pull mobs from outside of the lair you stay in the lair and fight what is at hand this especially goes for casters. If you lag into mobs outside of the lair then you are not where your suppose to be to begin with.
Also a special thanks to those who have helped me learn how to do this over the time we have been doing them. Those who stand out to me would be Duriann, Bael, and Spacey. Also like to thank everyone who has attended the raids that have helped make them successful most of the time.
